Well, I have to say, that this makes sense. They both really are too opinionated to anchor the coverage. You have to remember that as the anchor, you are supposed to be impartial — as much as possible anyhow. And Olbermann and Matthews are anything but.
Still, they both will make great commentators and analysts — as they do on their own nightly shows — as the channel continues its campaign coverage — and I am really looking forward to Rachel Maddow's new show on the channel, which premiere's tonight.
So far, it's just been a stellar and never-boring presidential race. And I only think it will heat up over the next two months. All right!
